August 2022

Each June, Central Texas Electric Cooperative members meet in the co-op’s six voting districts and, if applicable, select a nominee for the board of directors. In 2022, the membership will vote on local nominees from districts 2, 3, 4 and 5 at the co-op’s annual meeting on August 16, 2022, in Fredericksburg.

Selected as nominees by members in their respective districts are:

  • Mark Reeve, District 2 (Kerr County area)
  • Connie Stockbridge, District 3 (Mason County area)
  • Wayne Seipp, District 4 (Llano County area)
  • Joseph “Joby” Wieser, District 5 (Gillespie County area)

These co-op members were elected by their peers in person at district meetings and will be voted upon by the CTEC membership at the annual meeting. CTEC directors are limited to four consecutive three-year terms.

Proxy voting is allowed, and members are encouraged to participate in the election process. CTEC members may vote for each board position listed on the ballot, regardless of what district they are in.

See the cover of your August 2022 Texas Co-op Power magazine for meeting, registration, and voting details or view our member meetings webpage here.

$75 Bill Credit

A postage-paid envelope was provided in your August 2022 issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine to return your proxy card if you do not plan to attend the annual meeting in person. It will protect the privacy of each member’s signature and account number, and it keeps each vote private.

You’ll find the envelope inserted between the hardcover and the regular magazine of that issue. It is addressed to the firm that will tabulate the votes, so do not include your payment or anything other than your proxy card in this envelope. Use this only if you cannot attend the annual meeting in person. We need the participation of everyone to establish a quorum at the meeting, so please mark your vote and send it in with the enclosed envelope before the deadline.
