Recently, the Operation Round-Up Board of Directors at Central Texas Electric Cooperative approved a grant to the Hill Country Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Fredericksburg.

This non-profit organization’s goal is to provide safety, comfort, love, and enrichment in a no-kill environment for unwanted animals in the community they serve.  Their mission is to give every pet in the Hill Country the best lift possible through successful rescue, adoption, community relationships, awareness, and advocacy.  HCSPCA strives to never turn an animal in need away, including neglected, abused, and unwanted dogs and cats and those with medial complexities.

This Operation Round-Up grant is possible because of CTEC members who voluntarily participate.  By having their monthly electric bills “rounded up” to the next whole dollar each month, enrolled co-op members have been able to make a difference in the lives of neighbors in their communities.

CTEC members can sign up for Operation Round-Up here or by calling their local office and one-time monetary contributions are also accepted. All donations are tax-deductible.

It’s an easy, inexpensive way to become part of a great community program through your co-op membership.
