Recently, the Tow Community Center received a grant from Central Texas Electric Co-op’s Operation Round-Up Program.

The Tow Community Center provides the residents of the Tow Valley with a venue for recreation, learning, worship and social events like reunions and weddings.  The community center is located in the old Tow schoolhouse which is an aging building.  The grant of $2,500 will help local residents cover the cost of materials to help with maintenance and make the space aesthetically pleasing, functional and safe.

This Operation Round-Up grant is possible because of CTEC members who voluntarily participate.  By having their monthly electric bills “rounded up” to the next whole dollar each month, enrolled co-op members have been able to make a difference in the lives of neighbors in their communities.

CTEC members can sign up for Operation Round-Up here or by calling their local office and one-time monetary contributions are also accepted. All donations are tax-deductible.

It’s an easy, inexpensive way to become part of a great community program through your co-op membership.
